Wow, seems like an eternity since I last posted...
Hahah anyway, this June holidays seem so short. I mean it's like 1 more week to sch reopening, term 3 which inevitably means chionging for O's!! Irrespective of the seemingly short holiday, I really had a good break!
I had so much more time to catch up on dramas, speaking of which I have a rekindled infatuation for 'You Are Beautiful', currently showing on SCV!!!
I also spent lotsa quality time with my beloved bed. Yknw during sch days, I sleep an average of 6h per day and it was rly killing me. Sometimes I feel like a walking zombie!! Yep so during the hols, I caught up on my sleep time :-) Never fail to be refreshed and recharged after a gd sleep!!
Besides that, I also had an amazing time during the recent Northeast REGENERATION camp. It was definitely a great time of fellowship and bonding as a district/ unit/ lg. I also learnt many applicable things such as the importance of prioritising, unity, standing firm against temptations/ distractions etc! I had to admit that before that I was rather lost in a self-centred world of my own, and the camp rly helped me to sort out my thoughts and redefine certain issues.

I am, AWFULLY BLESSED, to be part of this community called NORTHEAST/ YHOPE :-)

MY AWESOME WEEK

This week is such a great week! I love this week!! :) It was a week where I took time off to play, relax and have fun. Firstly, it was my birthday on Tuesday. I have to say that it didn't start off well. The day before I was suddenly sick and had a horrible flu. I used up close to 7 packets of tissues in less than a day and was like a walking germs dispenser since I couldn't stop sneezing -.- But miraculously, God healed me the very next day! Lol on the day of my b'day itself, I woke up abit later than usual for sch and my dad was nagging at me in the car. But later on in the day, as the birthday messages/ wishes/ presents/ hugs came in, I really felt so blessed! Thank God for the many awesome friends that God has placed in my life to bring me so much joy on a special day like this :) Shall post more about my birthday when I get the pictures, but for now I just wna shout a loud THANKYOU to all those who contributed to making my 16th b'day a memorable one!!! LOVE Y'LL!!!
Secondly, this week was generally a test-free week except for AMath test which went pretty okay :) Haha, so I could celebrate my b'day not guilt-ridden hahah.
Thirdly, yesterday was Good Friday! :) Apart from the 1 day holiday we get to enjoy, Good Friday is also the day we remember Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross!! Thank you Lord for the unconditional, never-failing love You have offered so freely to everyone! It's because of Your work on the cross that's why we are forgiven and have freedom from our sins. Yeah so yesterday, the whole Northeast went on an outing (aka FUN FUN FRIDAY) to East Coast!! It was such a good day filled with fun, enjoyment as well as fellowship :) I had a great time with these bunch of awesome people, so glad to be serving the Lord together with all of ya!! Yep, spent a memorable day @ FFF ytd :)
And lastly, tomorrow is Easter service @ Suntec! Really looking forward to it and I pray that this Easter would be the day that God's lost sheep come back to him ((((:

Chiong to Orchard Central 's B&J right after school with Hanwen/ Enqi/ Alicia for free cone day!! :) Awesome man. Haha, then had care group amidst all the noise arnd us haha. Rather fruitful time of fellowship and sharing (: Thank God my week has been rather fun-filled so far.

Omg today is FRIDAY = left with 2 days before school reopens!!!
Hahah, I think my March holidays was fairly well spent though. Ate lots of good food so hope I don't gain weight!!! :)
Went to Thomson Plaza with my mum & siblings on Monday for lunch at Sushi Tei. Wow their salmon is real good! Bought some more assessments books to flood myself before O's lol.
Tuesday was NED outing for KTV session. I think the place we went to was a CC @ Balestier, recommended by Chantel and I think it's an awesome place! Really afforable 10 bucks only and the environment was quite good as well (: Yep, stayed around till about 4+pm then cab to YCK. Haha last minute decision to go with my family to Malaysia. Since we reached M'sia quite late, only had enough time to dine @ a restaurant with grandfather, catch a movie (Alice In Wonderland) and 1 game of pool!
Wanting & I started tuition recently. Hope that it's good!! (:

Haha, I didn't really realise until Wenting reminded me (on my cbox) that my phone is "coming back" on Monday, technically in one more day's time :) Anyway, I have to say I'm proud of myself for how well I'm surviving in the absence of my htc cell phone!! So proud of myself for studying the entire afternoon :) I got upset with my parents over some minor matters then I just stayed in the room to cool down and study. Quite productive I must say. Haha maybe I should quarrel with my parents more often. Lol jokingggg!
Can't wait for for 下一站，幸福 ep 21 to come out!! Anyway I think I shall resume blogging for the time being until I change my mind.

Yesterday was LOVE TAG part 2. Rather blessed through the service bcos it gave me a deeper understanding of smth so profound and complex - love. If there was anything that struck me the most, it would be God's unconditional, Agape love for human beings :) Perfect love comes from God, which doesn't require any form of repayment or pre-conditions. Nothing and no one can take away this love God has extended. The key is whether we choose to receive God's uncondional love - everyday! (:

I have not been blogging for a real long time since I preferred to invest time-with-computer on watching taiwan dramas instead of blogging! Finished hai pai alrdy, now (impatiently/ apprehensively) waiting for xia yi zhan 's ep 21!!! Haha seriously, being sec 4 has deprived me of so much fun and entertainment. The phrase "i'm busy" is an understatement with the endless studying to catch up on and agendas on my list. But rly glad for the constant self-reminders to focus on God plus studies this year! :) Thank God for the relatively smooth year so far and my birthday's coming! But I really do not wish to turn 16? Haha I wish I could stay at the youthful age of 15! :D
Ah well, Chinese New Year has just past and I think I enjoyed this CNY quite alot (: Didn't really do much visiting this year except to my grandmother and uncle's house. But it was still fun eating, slacking and enjoying 4 day free from stress/ tests/ assignments! :) Oh and this CNY I resoluted not to gamble and I'm glad I managed to abide by it.

Wednesday was a school holiday for Stnicks to reward everyone for blue badges' good O's results. I think it was a day well spent :) Studied with Hanwen and had shepherding before going to Ailynn's house with Rebecca to slack/ watch shows! Haha had a good time laughing at bai fun bai lol!! Then my dad came to fetch me and I ended off the day mugging for biology test. So glad bio test's over. I always feel very relieved after bio test since it's rly content-heavy! Yep, and hope I manage to break through C5 this time... ...
Okay lastly, TGIF! :) Am looking forward to service tomorrow for a time of refreshment. And thank God Lydia came for LOVE TAG last week, hope she can join us tmr too! Alright bye, have a great weekend (:

Haha I feel like going shopping now but I'm lazy to go out and don't want to spend money! The weather recently has been horrendous. It's so crazy hot that I think the whole Singapore's gonna melt soon!
I completed an English essay today on image. I really lack of creative juices and can't do one-word essays la! I don't understand how there is just ONE word given and we poor students have to rack our brains to write about it. I mean the one word is too general and even worse since some words have double or triple meanings!
After doing essay for one hour, I spent about two hours watching 下一站，幸福 (note the ratio -.-). Gosh, it's like so sad. I hate those wishy washy parts when 1 of the lovers tries to leave the other supposedly for his/ her own good, like getting some terminal disease and not wanting the other party to be sad if they die blah blah! That is rubbish! Everyday you live life not knowing whether you will die the next day. Please lor, don't even need to die of terminal disease. Anything can happen, maybe get knocked down by a car or assassinated or 2012 brought forward whatsoever. So if you don't want your loved ones to grieve over your departure (which is extremely unpredictable), everyone might as well build caves and isolate themselves for life?! Haha this is so stupid!

This week has been quite a fun, yet tiring week. Tiring because I had to wake up early in the morning for morning PA duty so lack of sleep. Fun because I celebrated a few friends' birthday as well as went shopping :) Went for prayer meeting just now and feel rather refreshed to be able to put aside everything else and just worship God :)
Today, I randomly suddenly began to think of this year ahead. I've decided that I'm going to study hard for O' levels, work hard towards my ideal L1R5 that will hopefully get me into 1 of the top 5 JCs and after O's, I'm going to learn the language French as well as watch dramas that I've been missing out so much on!
In secondary school, I think there were two choices that I made that up till today, I still have my misgivings or maybe even regrets about? The first was to quit hockey and change CCA to Infocomm Club, which is basically a slack loser CCA that I don't really benefit from. It's not that I love hockey or what, but I think at least I had fun and I kinda miss the feeling of holding that hockey stick... ... The second was to take up 3rd language (French) but not taking it seriously. Lessons were twice a week for 2 hours each lesson. Every time, I would just spend 1h sleeping and the other hour dreaming or paying attention. So obviously, I flunked all my French tests and subsequently dropped 3rd lang. Omg looking back, I can't believe I slept during French lessons because all the students there are from elite schs and it was so embarassing!
Now, I want to take up the language French but I would obviously not have time, so that will have to wait till after O's. Both stupid choices I made was in Sec 1, which just reflects how rash and immature I was then :/

On a happier note, I'm currently watching 下一站，幸福 which is really nice and Vaness is so hot in that show! Haha :) Gdnight!

Week 2

Yay, feel so good after nap and a bath :) This is only the second week of school and it has already been so draining! So deprived of sleep la! Anyway school has been quite okay thus far, with the exceptions of increasing workloads plus tests, uh which makes it not okay actually lor?
Haha nevermind, at least AMath trigo test is over (: But actually I realised for Sec 4, any tests that is over doesn't really makes a difference. Because after it's over, that will still be an "endless supply of tests" waiting for you! -.-
Have been planning to start watching Gossip Girl (season 3), hai pai tian xin and Autumn Concerto since forever but just can't find the time )))):
Ohyeah. During biology class today, the teacher showed us a (gross) video on childbirth. Heh, especially the part where the doctor cuts the umbilical cord so euuuw! Haha but it's fascinating how a new life emerges just like that. I used to have a dream that I miscarried and cried like forever, but no that's never gonna come true. And talking about bio, I just remembered that I have a test to revise for. Bye, nightz :)

Haha I 'm actually super busy now but I 'm still gonna blog! Anyw today was such a good day for me, really very thankful to God! :) The majority component of my happiness comes from my A1 FOR CHINESE! Omg it's such a relief to know that I got my first A1 for O levels haha :) So glad that I entrusted my results into God's hands and He never fails me!
Other small little things that made my day was getting $200 cheque for good progress award, giving a few belated b'day presents (as the saying goes, more blessed to give than to receive), having a filling lunch with Rebecca @ J8, buying a cheap top from Cotton On and getting a good nap! :)
Anyway I felt so happy when the St.Nicks Sec 4s '09 got back their results. There were like twelve people with 10 A1s and SG top scholar with 11 A1s!! Serious omg, I can't believe it?! :O But St.Nicks overall MSG dropped from 9 plus to 10 plus though :/ Haha nevermind, I believe Sec 4s '10 will bring it back up! :) Haha, congrats to everyone who got back results and thank you God!

Whoa, this week is over so fast! There's so much homework to complete and tests to study for that I don't even feel like this is the first week of school. But I guess this is (sad) life of a Stnicks sec four :/
Anyway, I had to stay back for sec 1 campfire plus meet the parents session on Friday night. Suddenly realised that time really passes so fastttt, I still can remember getting back my PSLE results when I was 12 years old. Oh and recently, I found a card my P6 form teacher (Mdm Toh) wrote us and she encouraged me for PSLE with this quote...

You don't need anyone to believe in you in order to achieve your goals - you just need to believe in yourself.

Haha so sweet right. Mdm Toh's one of the teachers I remember most because of her bubbly and uplifting spirit, even though I'm an ingrate who have never visited my pri sch after graduation lol.

Yesterday, we celebrated Weiting's birthday at Astons. In the process of lighting the candles for her cake, I actually burnt my nail -.- Thank God I have long nails for protection and only a small part got burnt, but that's bad enough. Lol my nail smelt of chao da. Immediately cut off the small burnt part upon reaching home before joining my family to celebrate my younger sis b'day :))))

Can't wait to start on Gossip Girl season 3 but can't seem to find time :S On a heavier note, O level results tmrw :O Best of luck to all those getting back results, including my chinese!!! :)

O level results will be out on 11Jan, which means I will get my chinese O level results on that day too. Ahh, praying hard for A1!!! :) Yeah, and hope St.Nicks does really well this year so we will get a school holiday :D
Waking up for school everyday is so torturous. It's only the first week of school and I'm getting less than six hours of sleep a day :/ And taking public transport is frustrating, major waste of time.
Lol anyw I was on my way to school a few days ago and I suddenly thought of becoming an old person haha. Then I can retire and stay at home and everyday and live on CPF. Besides, Singapore quite efficient one right. Have quite a lot of privileges and incentives of being senior citizen. Take public transport also will have people give up seat to you haha. Okay, then again, I wouldn't exactly want to become old so soon. Haven't got to enjoy my youth yet hahah!

Back to school

Yesterday was the first day of school! Whoa, it's only the first few days of school and the teachers are already talking about O levels already! Lol, they keep saying how little time we actually have and having to study extremely hard etc. It's quite depressing to hear that on the 1st few days of sch? Omg and so fast next week have like 2 or 3 tests!!! :O Okay that's it, the lessons part was still okay and I'm trying very hard to pay full attention in class now. Not that hard considering the fact that I have a prime seat, that is, middle in the 2nd row plus surrounded by many councillors haha :)
CCA starts so soon! I was still hoping that this week would be freeeee... ... Anyway, I MUST rant about St.Nicks' current sch location @ Bradell. Omg it sucks. It is so small and old and dusty and gross! I cannot emphasise enough on the small part. The canteen and toilet is suffocating. I would never want to enter the toilet unless of emergencies.
Worst of all, my dad is not fetching me to school anymore :/ He has been fetching me to school everyday for nine years, WHY CAN'T JUST FETCH ONE MORE YEAR RIGHT LOL!!! Ok nevermind I shall be positive and be thankful that he fetched me to sch for nine years :) Anyway, travelling to school on public transport is horrible, especially since I have to change buses and wake up 30min earlier everyday.
Okay, so that's it for my uh... unpleasant school experience during the start of this year. Haha yea but still thank God for everything (: Hope things will improveeee. Goodnight :)

last day of holidays

School reopens tomorrow. Spent today afternoon tidying up my room and doing some last minute preparations. Hehe, I just realised I bought alot of stationaries over the holidays. Like whenever my mum goes to Popular, I will get her to buy some stationaries for me. And uhm since I didn't really write much during the holidays, I kinda accumulated all the stationaries lor. About 10 blue/ black pens, 3 erasers, 4 mechanical pencils, 3 correction tapes, 7 stacks of foolscap, 6 pack of staple bullets, 4 highlighters, pencil lead, scissors and lots of markers hahaha.
I was planning on completing some holiday homework today. This is not an excuse I made up okay, but uh I ate cough/ phlegm medicine and now I feel so drowsy. All I want to do is sleep! Haha so that's what I'm going to do right now :D

I think I started off year 2010 pretty well, fun and meaningful! :) Yesterday was 1Jan and I went on a shopping trip with my mum. There happened to be many sales going on and I managed to buy all my new year clothes in a day, from Forever 21, Pepperplus and FOX :) Haha feels great to have gotten all my CNY clothes in advance. I don't rlly like last minute shopping!
Yesterday's shopping trip was more of the fun part. I mean like HELLO IT'S SHOPPING YKNOW!!! Love shopping lol. Okay anyway, today was the meaningful part :) Thank God for today's service and NE sheps meeting that was so refreshing and timely! I think point two of today's sermon is more applicable for me - Desire greater things from God :) In year 2010, I believe with all my heart that God has even greater, more wonderful and new things in store. Therefore, I need to trust in His plan and have a high level of expectancy. Besides that, I was also kinda of reminded of the fundamentals of Christianity - quiet time. To have a greater desire for God, I really need to spend QUALITY DAILY QUIET TIME! Yeah and that would require more discipline on my part (:
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" With the passing of the 2009, I'm learning to let go of things that will hold me back such as grudges/ insecurities/ past failures etc. In the NEW year 2010, I hope to embrace NEW changes and NEW things that will come my way, trusting in an unfailing God :)

New year resolutions

Haha, I have been spending most of my time at home for this last week of school holidays :)))) Went to a relative's countdown party with my family yesterday. Despite being surrounded by not so good company e.g. aunties and uncles, thank God my elder sis came to the party as well and we just spent the time eating, watch tv and chatting :)
Hahah, oh there was this hospitable & enthusiastic relative that went around offering everyone wine. Omg he offered me like ten times and I declined nine times. Haha so if you can do simple Math, you'd arrive at the conclusion that I said yes once. Didn't really like the taste but still finished it :S
Yep, and when we were counting down from 10 onwards, it suddenly hit me that 2009 is REALLY coming to an end! In previous years, I guess I probably wouldn't think much of a passing year. But year 2010 is different, it signifies becoming Secondary Four for me!!! It is unquestionably gonna be different to be in a graduating class, which would possibly mean more tests, more studying, more stress, less playing, less going out, less tv. Oh man, you reading must be thinking what a bleak year I have in front of me! Okay but as much dread I feel, there is, somewhere somehow, a part of me that is curious and hopeful (: I'm curious for God's plan in store for me. I'm hopeful of the year 2010, that it's really actually going to be a wonderful year for me.
Today, is 1st January 2010, and I am immensely blessed by God to be just alive! Irregardless of how tough the year ahead would be as well as the challenges I might face, I am assured that I have a great God behind me and supportive family/ friends whom I'm thankful for! :D

Finally, I will keep my year 2010 resolutions short and simple because I don't need or want a lengthy impressive list that will just end up forgotten.
1. STUDY HARD for O' levels to leave NO ROOM FOR REGRETS
We only take O' levels once in a lifetime! (Haha even if you wna take it another time, MOE probably wouldn't allow you to) So might as well just take it seriously and give it your best shot! Currently, I don't really have an ideal JC I wna enter. Target is single digit for L1R5 :)
2. Cultivate and maintain a CONSISTENT EXERCISE REGIME
Exercising can keep fit, destress and lose weight. Yes I want to reach my ideal weight of xx kg :D There are so many gyms, stadiums and parks in Singapore at one's convenience. Haha I always lose discipline in jogging after a few weeks and I hope that I wouldn't this time!
3. Grow more to LOVE GOD LOVE PEOPLE
Yeah, no matter how busy I am, I still want to prioritise God and His kingdom. I believe as long as I place God in the centre of my life, He will not shortchange me (:

24 December - X'mas service + NE X'mas party + caroling

Christmas spent with Jesus and Northeast really made this year's Christmas memorable and meaningful for me :) Looking forward to an awesome year in 2010!!!

26 to 27 December - The Grand Copthorne Walkathon Hotel

Met up with Rebecca on Saturday and had a healthy lunch @ Clarke Quay 's food court :) Haha, we were supposed to cab to the hotel to meet Wenting Ailynn Crystal & Zioedy but we had the worst ever cab experience! R & I walked from the underground taxi stand to the MRT to the bus stop but there was no available cabs at all. I can't believe we spent almost an hour getting a cab since we were in town. LOL it was as if every taxi driver treated us as non-existent okay ): As if it wasn't bad enough, it was drizzling and carrying stuff!
Eventually, we managed to get safely into a cab and the driver was funny! Haha he was speaking like some typical Singaporean, complaining about the transport system & everything. Okay, so finally reached the hotel and we watched dvds :) I love Gossip Girlllllll!!! Yeah we explored the hotel room, basically exploiting almost everything the hotel provides - towel, bottled mineral water, bathroom robes etc lol!

Yay love the log cake we got for Christmas. Deeeeeliiiiiicious! :)

Wenting is so excited when it comes to DBSK haha!

Watched '17 Again' on the laptop and had pizza delivery for dinner :) Just so you know, teenagers are always hungry and hyper, so we headed to Great World City to get some more food aka cup noodles.

Back to the hotel to camwhore/ chat/ eat/ watch shows/ etc. Then changed into swimwear since we were intending on swimming. We saw Rebecca off (hope she had a fun time in M'sia :D), couldn't swim because it was closed at that time :/

Yay, so went for a night walk at Clarke Quay instead! Haha we just followed the river and kept on walking. Sleepy and lethargic, but still we continued (: We chanced upon Singapore's (interesting) night life @ CQ, but I guess it still pales in comparison to other countries! Uh I think we walked from like 11+pm to 1+am? Hehe much fun and great chats and cool pictures :)

At the end of the walk: DEAD BEAT LOL!

Took turns to eat cup noodles (limited utensils) and shower. Zioedy was the first to bathe and cuddle up in bed haha. Ailynn fell asleep too while waiting for me. I watched more of Gossip Girls and slept around 4am whereas Crystal & Wenting watched some horror movie and successfully scared themselves before turning in as well :)

27 December - Singapore Idol 2009 Finals

Met up with Kaiying @ Bugis for an early dinner :D Then we headed to Kallang together. Omg Kallang's bus interchange is so old and confusing. We had to take some time to figure out our way to Singapore Indoor Stadium! Haha we got seats on top, though quite far away from the stage but got quite a good view. Had to wait for about 0.5hour before Singapore Idol started. So the Muttons To Midnight DJs were kinda entertaining the audience :)
Hehe yeap the performances during Singapore Idol was awesome and mindblowing! Yeah I loved the final song both Sylvia & Sezairi had to sing - Touched By An Angel. Like seriously so touching, especially when all the people in white came out to sway with the music (?) haha. Yeah I like the performances with the top 13 SI contestants :) Anyway my favourite of all is Taufik's performance on his new song Addicted! Omg I didn't rlly take notice of him before but after that day I think he is v talented and cute haha :)

Hahah, I'm making a pathetic last minute attempt to do some holiday homework before next Monday when school reopens. (Omg everyone pls sigh/ scream/ cry wtv) Hmm by "attempt" I mean reading the literature book which we're probably gonna start on next year, aka 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. Apart from the book being horribly boring, I also don't seem to fully understand it. It led to a depressing revelation that maybe it's because of my mediocre command of the English language, or rather, limited vocabulary. Whenever I read books, I find it highly irritating to encounter words I don't understand. The idea of searching the big fat dictionary for ONE word sounds unappealing and a waste of time. But if I don't, I wouldn't understand the meaning of that ONE word and therefore not fully comprehend the plot.
Hehe, so today I finally went to search the meaning of a word I don't know, which is "acquiescence". Wow what a cheem word right, I don't even know how to pronounce it! Haha fyi, "acquiescence" means something like approval, assent. Yeah actually I always kinda admire people who can write well, especially those who can write in perfect grammar and possess a wide repertoire of vocabulary!! Heh, so I've decided I shall take on reading as a part-time hobby to educate myself, increase my vocabulary of words and improve my grasp of English :)

Hahah, will post more with pictures another day! (: Anyway, saying goodbye to Christmas bids the approach of the new year 2010. And that obviously means holidays ending, school reopening blahblahblah.
An evaluation of this Dec holidays would be...
1. Study --> Didn't study much
2. Exercise --> Fairly consistent jogging for 1 mth then died down
3. Play --> Spent most of my time on playing
So, I realise that this holidays was quite unmeaningful :/ I didn't really manage to accomplish anything and the only thing memorable was the time spent with friends. Yep, so since I spent so much time playing, I really needa get serious next year! 2010 is gonna be a year filled with more challenges and hopefully, growth too :) 1 area I hope to grow in is definitely my management of time. I cannot emphasise enough on the importance of time and how previous time is! That's exactly why I need to manage my time better and besides proper planning, I think multi-tasking will come in handy too. Haha but of course multi-tasking has to come with quality work as well.
Hehe I'll probably go and reflect about 2009 before it ends and make myself feel guilty and hurry pen down reflections so that will serve as motivation next year and reminder to not repeat past mistakes! Weird I know but I guess it works for me? :D

Even though I complained alot throughout the camp, I really did have fun with the kids! :) They are just so cute and adorable. Listening to their conversations is hilarious. Haha I also realised that communication with children is an art. You can't talk to them as if they are your level, I mean you have to simplify your words and humour them!
Haha I think the more memorable parts of the camp was the campfire, waterbomb games and concert. Even though I didn't participate in the waterbomb games, it was very fun to see the children dripping wet and charging at each other to attack and defend! It was a pity I missed the 1st part of the concert, where the girls performed "Nobody" and "Gee" whereas the guys performed "Sorry Sorry". But I believe they danced reallyreally well :D Haha and when the pictures taken throughout the camp was projected, the sense of nostalgia was kinda heartwarming.

Awesome 3 days 2 nights, quality time spent with people I enjoy being around with (: Thank God for this refreshing camp, that reminded me again & again, of the great God I'm serving. That's why the more I need to love and serve wholeheartedly :) Jesus deserves my 100%!
I was also very assured throughout the camp, confident that whatever challenges next year brings, God's grace is sufficient for me. I learnt to let go of my worries, and trust in a God who provides.

Hi people, I'm back from LEVEL UP church camp as well as TCC CAMP ROCK! :) Both camps were 3 days 2 nights so I've kinda been camping for this whole week haha. Heh, but definitely had lots of fun and it's really an unforgettable week for me (: Will probably blog more in detail some other day with pictures :D
Oh yeah, my sis told me good news the moment I returned home! While I was away, I received a letter and my whole family being so rude read my letter -.- Okay that's beside the point, the point is I got some Edusave good progress award so I'll get $200! Thank God, I was about to go broke but now God blessed me with $$$ ^^

On a heavier note, I just realised that the Dec holidays are ending. Oh man, always hate it everytime I have such high hopes of accomplishing many things during the holidays but only end up wasting it away ): I guess the most satisfying thing I did during the holidays was watching so many dramas/ tv, though I have no idea how it helps me in any way haha. Hm broaden perspectives and entertain myself? Urgh, human species greatest enemy is probably procrastination man... tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow and it goes on -.- Whatever, I'm gonna sleep soon and think about it TOMORROW!

Twilight

Great :) It's not even 10pm and I finished up with everything I intended to do before tmr's camp. Spent morning to finish up on You Are Beautiful! (: That korean drama's really good, keeps your anticipation of what happens next up! But, I felt that the ending was rather abrupt and doesn't really give you that surge of "sweet happy feeling" at the end of a drama. Oh anyway, love the songs in YAB!! (: Especially the "What Should I Do" song Taekyung sang at the concert, it's stuck in my head!
Spent the afternoon to finish reading Twilight. Then relatives were over for mahjong so I stayed in the room to watch the movie Twilight (: The movie was quite a letdown as compared to the book. Alot of details were missed out and the Cullen family aren't exactly as charming/ attractive as they were described to be haha. Most importantly, I think the movie didn't really do justice to the glorious love of Edward and Bella! It's like in the book Twilight, their love was described to be so deep and "no turning back" kinda thing, but don't really sense that in the movie? Oh, but anyway I liked the part where Edward had to suck the venom from Bella 's blood and when the frenzy started he almost couldn't stop. Yet he still managed to restrain himself in the end, omg so cool ^^
Managed to catch a nap before dinner. Packed bag for camp and set my camp objectives (: Am praying that as I expect much, I would also receive as much!

Omg suddenly realised that church camp is on Monday and there's plenty of stuff I have to do. Haven't started packing bag, haven't finished watching 'You Are Beautiful' and haven't finished reading Twilight!! Okay, sounds weird but I MUST finish YAB and Twilight before camp in case they are a distraction to me. Hahah, and also because I think it's hard to remember the story after camp... But nevermind, these 2 tasks are smth I'm extremely glad to do :) 3 more episodes to go for YAB and 4 more chapters to go for Twilight! Yay, and I'm excited for church camp as well :) Really ecstatic to spend 3D2N having fun activities, experiencing God and enjoying camp with people I love! Praying for church camp to be a blast! (:

NED unit care group @ Sengkang yesterday! Loved water bombs and food :) Thank God for the good weather. Yeah, crazy great time together. So glad to have yall for camp, which is in just FOUR days!!!

On a heavier note, I watched this human trafficking programme on Hallmark channel earlier. Omg it's seriously cruel, ruthless and inhumane ): Watching the plight of the victims makes me feel sorry for their vulnerability and helplessness. Especially the innocent children who are abducted and coerced into sexual or labour exploitation! The human trafficking programme was kind of an eye opener for me, 'cause Singapore is so safe that (thankfully) we don't really get to be exposed to stuff like that. Ah, so blessed to be living in S'pore :) Anyway halfway thru the show, I couldn't stand it anymore so I went to sleep. Will certainly pray for reduction of human trafficking in this world during quiet time tonight!

Wedding

Attended a relative's wedding in in Malaysia on Saturday. The wedding was rather grand, many people!! But functions like these are awfully boring, especially when most of my relatives are a generation older than me and I really don't fit into their conversations haha. But nevermind, the mouth is not created for the sole purpose of socialising/ talking, apparently smart people use it to EAT :D Haha, also managed to do some quick shopping for heels/ slippers/ food etc before heading to the bungalow of the newly-weds for buffet dinner :) Gee, the walk-in wardrobe's fascinating! Want something like that in future haha :)
Sunday was shopping in town with mum and siblings. Haha I think I succeeded in terrorizing them from shopping with me again because I made them walk for like 6 hours straight (inclusive of dinner). Actually, I could still walk, but it was getting late and my siblings were raining complains and accusations at me! Haha there were sales at OG, got 2 bags and some clothes. My siblings and I wanted to shop for CNY clothes, but couldn't find anything suitable in the departmental stores/ boutiques :/ Have been rather busy and not shopping for quite a long time, so awesome to be able to relive those moments hehe! :)
I'm really happy today :) Because my maid came back! Whoa I've been waiting for this day ever since she went home to Indonesia 3 weeks ago. Doing housework is seriously a torture and bore! Omg, my whole family was ecstatic the moment my maid phoned home to say her flight landed in S'pore :) We were all running for the phone every time it rang, because my dad lied to us saying that she might not want to come back -.- Yep, I'm definitely more appreciative and understanding of what my maid does in the house!! I'm happy also because I banked in $200 and dad gave me money ^^ Yayyyy, looking forward to church camp and Christmas!!!

Heh, today was an interesting day. Met up with Crystal Ailynn Rebecca Wenting Zioedy @ Khatib :) Original plan was to go fishing at Bottle Tree Park but due to unforeseen circumstances, we ditched those plans and went Causeway Point instead. We ate at Pizza Hut, but I had a horrid stomachache :/ Then went over to Ailynn's house to slack. Watched recorded 百分百 which was way hilarious, maybe I should consider watching it next time heh ^^ Will upload photos when I'm free!
Took a long bus ride on 169 to AMK Hub. Headed to Ritz for NE picnic retreat, aww we cabbed down specially for free starbucks. But still couldn't make it before seven :/ Oh man, I can't believed I missed both last year and this year's free starbucks! Somebody pls remind me in advance next year!!! (: Haha yeah anyway the dinner @ Ritz was great, miss apple strudel so much!! ^^ Yupp, took time to appreciate one another during the retreat, rly enjoyed working with all of yall and lets continue to jiayou for the kingdom of God! :D

Yesterday, I met this cute 9 years old boy from China at the science centre. He is super interesting & amazing, I had quite a long conversation with him. Haha I asked him many questions, his response was so mature and accent so cute ^^ However, he kept correcting my not-so-perfect Chinese and it felt so embarassing to be speaking all that Singlish to a 9 year old! Haha, the boy even said he had some difficulty in comprehending what I was saying :/ Anyw, I secretly whispered to Charyl to ask him how was my chinese... Lol I pretending that I wasn't listening, and omg he used "兰" to describe my chinese ok!!! Whatever nevermind, he's still unquestionably interesting :)
Jogging in the morning was a whooping failure. Ended up as a blithe, light-hearted time sitting on swings and brisk walks as well as me interrogating Guixian on the details of the 'The Twilight Sage' lol.
Ohh, started watching Gossip Girl today. Super nice and addictive. Love Nate, not Chuck haha! And I foresee I 'll finish GG in a couple of days hehe ^^
On a lighter note, Charles eliminated for Singapore Idol. My siblings and I sort of saw that coming and I have no idea how they seem to be able to get so worked up over a result show?! Okay, before that my stand was unclear. But after all the rounds of elimination and it's now down to three, I'm supporting ... ... Sylvia! Go Sylviaaa! :D

Haven't blogged in quite some time so here are some updates lol. Most of my time spent at home is on tv or reading Twilight, which I still haven't finish cause I think it's a great book and I'm gonna take my time to indulge in the world of vampires haha.
Walked around and had lunch at Junction 8 on Thursday with my family. Was supposed to go for class gathering in the afternoon, but realised that my mum lost some card thingy so I had to go find and all -.- Finally went home to look for it and omg wth it's at home! After that I was quite pissed that I went to sleep and forgot about the class gathering. Only woke up around 6+pm so decided to give class gathering a miss. So sorry people!! :/
Had Northeast picnic on Friday. Met up quite early with Gladys and Meichi to buy food for the picnic before heading to Sengkang. Haha 2nd time taking LRT and we got horribly lost! Yep, although it rained halfway but still enjoyed it (: God is still good whether or not there's rain yeah! Heh, and water bomb/ gun/ buckets at the end was pure crazyness lol!!
Ohyeah, there's smth I have to mention! The stupidest, wildest, most shocking thing happened on Friday morning. Since I woke up rather early that morning, I was the only one awake in the family. I opened the back door of my house and went to the backyard, back-facing my house. Seconds later, I heard abit of noise from the house, took a quick glance and disregarded it. Minutes later, I turned around to return to the house and once I stepped in, I got a huge shock! There was a MONKEY IN MY HOUSE, eating the papaya my mum bought the day before!!! The monkey was rather fat, (must have been stealing many pple's food) and of course scrambled away when it saw me. But unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it. During the few moments I took to recover from shock, THE MONKEY CAME BACK!! Omg and this time it stood only several metres away from me and we were uh, staring at each other (haha that monkey has bigger eyes than me lol). I don't know why I stared at it, I guess I was still in shock and it's human nature to stare lol. Then that animal started to approach me cautiously. That moment, I felt like it was gonna be my last day on this world. The monkey's gonna pounce on me, attack me and I'm gonna be defenceless and helpless ): However, somehow part of me summoned up whatever left of the scared-stiff me, and pushed a chair towards the monkey!!! Thank God, it succeeded, the monkey ran away!!! Huge sigh of relief and I hurriedly closed the back door, not gonna risk having the monkey return again lol.
I hate that monkey and I hate the horrid experience. By the grace of God, I survived yeah haha. Actually now thinking back, I don't know why I didn't scream or run away? Haha but anyw I wouldn't have been able to outrun the monkey and it's so stupid to be chased by a monkey in your own house right lol! I've never liked pets or animals of any species, not even the gentle harmless goldfisheys and this experience further substantiates and justifies this dislike towards animals!

Time is always the best test. A test for how much my faith can go, a test of my perseverance & endurance, a test against the work of the devil. There are many good things in life, but what I want is more than those things that can give me a temporary thrill or pleasure. I'm greedy, for things that will last and survive the test of time. I'm praying, that I would be wise enough to choose to invest my time, money, efforts and life, into something that would be worth it. Something that would be able to stand even as temptations and corruptions come :)
I've always been curious about the future. What would I be doing 20 years down the road? What would Singapore be like 20 years down the road? What would the world be like 20 years down the road? All these questions contain so many uncertainties, mystifications & unpredictabilities that have to be considered. But one thing I can be sure and positive about is God will never change. God will definitely stand the test of time. :)

Last Saturday was my mum's birthday :) My family celebrated together with my grandparents at a chinese restaurant :) Haha, the food was good and we all had an extremely filling dinner! After dinner, we went home, where my grandparents and siblings played mahjong whereas I went for a walk with my parents around the neighbourhood because we were bloated, and well, aid digestion. Haha, I passed by my old child care centre, which has now closed now, and in its place are well-developed semi-D housings. Hahah, I still vaguely remember the rough routine during my time at the child care centre and it used to be so much fun! :D

Heh, Sunday was the Sec 4 's prom night and Crystal, Nerissa and I were @ Raffles City Convention Centre as well to take video as well as music, powerpoint etc. I was quite anticipative and looking forward to it, but when we got there, there wasn't really much to do! And the prom programme itself was horribly boring, except for the walk-in part and the dinner I guess? The rest were just speeches by all the important people and singing of songs -.- Makes me think twice about whether to attend prom next year... ... Haha but looking on the bright side, it was quite fun looking around and spotting Sec 4s in their pretty dresses, hair-dos and make-up etc! Took some photos with some seniors and teachers, upload tmrw ^^

Anyway, even though I'm sick, I've been eating alot of good food these few days. Omg so sinful right!! Heh, nevermind I'm gonna go jogging tomorrow morning. Hope to build up stamina and speed! (:

Feel so accomplished today. Woke up at 6+am and met up with Jemie & Guixian to jog @ Bishan Park :) Haha both of them cheated me into running 3km!!! Once past the 2km mark, I was like nagging at them to stop every few hundred metres but I have no idea why I succumbed to them lol. Heh, walked to the hawker centre near sch for breakfast after jogging. Actually, I'm beginning to enjoy waking up early to jog & all that, feel like I didn't waste the day away sleeping (:
Went home to watch some drama before going over to kc 's house to bake cookies :)

Hahah, the cookies turned out uh rather burned but still edible :) Yea never knew baking was such hard work! Thank God for all of ya, especially Yilin, you'd make a wonderful chef haha :D

Let me redefine the term "misery", make it simpler and apply it into my situation...
MISERY = LIFE WITHOUT MY MAID

It's only the first day and I'm already in great misery :/ I still have 3 more weeks to survive on my own before my maid comes back :/ Gosh, I'm so beginning to appreciate the quality and accessibility a maid brings about! If I have a choice, I think I would rather go through exams again. Ah well, I did this before (TWO years ago) and shall have faith in myself! :) On a side note, the "misery" thing was just exaggeration + crap, so yeah ignore me.

Anyw, I started off today quite well. Woke up at 7am to jog with Jemie and Guixian :) Actually, I spent most of the time walking but I walked for quite a long distance, so it still counts as exercise. Haha, had a great time chatting and laughing about our embarassing parents as well lol. It was quite an interesting and funny topic lol. Anyw, I always thought Singaporeans were quite peaceful folks, like they just would choose the easy and simple way. But today morning's conversation proved otherwise hahaha LOL.

Haha, I know this is like really really slow, but yeah I've just started reading Twilight. Hahaha, I think it's quite interesting and hopefully my interest wouldn't die out halfway. I mean since I haven't read books for ages hehe.

Oh, anyway I went to The Science Centre with my mum and siblings today. Went for the Body Worlds exhibition thing and it was such an eyeopener!! :) It was quite interesting to see the preserved body parts and the way in which they explained how the body ages. Like starting from conception, to teenager, to adolescence, to old age and lastly passing away. Yupyup, really cool, but a pity that photography wasn't allowed :/ Hehe, then ate at MacDonalds. We ate 4 set meals to get more Monopoly tokens, but still didn't win anything ):

Today, I returned home for the first time in a year, and found my entire computer missing. I asked my grandma about this, and she told me that she threw the "tv" away because it "no longer responded to the remote control".

Today, my six year old daughter asked me if the tooth fairy was real. I said yes, and she said she wanted to try to catch her. Later, she pulled out a tooth and put it under her pillow. I came in to take out the tooth and replace it with money. There were mouse traps behind her pillow.
The comments on it were very witty too, read here!

Holidays are here and it has been long anticipated!! :) Although this year end holiday is somewhat shorter than the norm due to Sec 3 hol. lessons, I kinda really "appreciate" this holiday :) I have to say that Sec 3 schooling life was veryvery busy and much different from lower secondary. But I'm glad that I tried, and I survived. 2009 has kinda been a wake up call for me. Haha during lower sec, I was like playing and sleeping most of my time away :/
Yep, next year is gonna be a year filled with changes in various areas of my life. Have been thinking about them recently. Looking forward to some changes yet also having doubts/ worries about some... But one thing I learnt during QT recently was to entrust my plans to God :) It's pointless worrying and fretting over things which I have no control over, so I think a wise choice would be to let go and let God take control. But of course, this does not mean complacency and not caring at all. It's always good to plan ahead, as well as accompany planning with prayer! :D

On Friday night, I attempted to pack my room since the state I was living in was simply unbearable, horrible and suffocating. Attempt was quite a failure since I just threw everything into a cupboard, but nvm at least it's hidden :) Hahah, while packing halfway my eyes got quite pain due to the dust that accumulated over the years so I gave up and went to sleep. Urgh, so now my room is half-packed and still quite messy! -.-
Ohh, I came across many things whilst packing. Some of the things were ancient, but I find myself hesitating to throw it away as I think they are of great sentimental value (: I love photos/ pictures especially, 'cause they capture the best moments in life! I wish I had taken more photos with people I love when I was younger.

Chinese O' level paper 1 & 2 yesterday!!! Haha I think it was quite okay, except for paper 1. Cause I kept forgetting stuff like my entry proof and IC etc so I had to keep running to get it lol, so I was kinda in quite a state of shock when paper 1 started haha :/ Hope I did well enough to get my an Al! :-)

Watched these 2 movies:

'My Girlfriend Is A Secret Agent' was quite nice, very funny lol but 'My Sister's Keeper' was quite disappointing. Half the time was trying to catch what the characters were saying while the other half was trying to fight drowsiness lol.

With the approach of holidays, means that the year is coming to an end. Haha which is kinda sad, since I'm certainly not looking forward to life as a 16 year old. Especially since St.Nicholas is moving to some old, rundown, dilapidated sch in Toa Payoh next year :/ I think the sch is trying to brainwash the students + parents that the holding site isn't that bad after all, but I think it's all a load of crap!

When I was young, being immature and juvenile, I was a bitter child and held many grudges against many people. Haha, I have no idea why I was so negative. I kept feeling like it was me and me alone against the world! I think I was quite independent from a young age since I used to regarded my parents as non-existent. I seldom told anyone what I was feeling, except my older sis.
Thank God that things change, and people change! With God's love and grace, the world can be a better place after all :)

Around 2 more weeks to school holidays! :) Meanwhile, that shall be my motivation to press on and stay focused. I can't stand waking up early to go to school, especially since my dad isn't fetching me!
Been raining recently, quite cooling and refreshing. Better than the previous unbearably warm weather! Rainy days are the best for sleeping. I'm clueless why, but I always feel very cosy whenever I'm at home while it's pouring out there. Feels as if I'm in another world? Haha, when I was young, I used to love looking out when it's raining, seeing the transparent water droplets hitting the ground with such force and some even tinier droplets "rebounding" on contact with the ground. I am damn tired today. I was tricked by my retarded dad into waking up at 9am this morning to go for some tree top walk at a nature reserve! YES SO I WALKED ABOUT 7KM!!! -.- Hahah actually I wouldn't really mind walking 7km around a flat surface like the track as a form of exercise. But the horrible thing is that the ground isn't even flat/ smooth, there are so many steps and slopes. The slopes are like very inclined and I feel like I would tumble down anytime. Furthermore, it rained yesterday, so some areas were abit muddy.
LOL so after about 1.5h of non-stop walking (since my dad refused to stop), you can probably imagine how sweaty, tired and angry I was!
Had lunch then home to bathe and sleep. But after waking up, I'm still very angry!!!

Oh man, Secondary Three life sucks! It's back to lessons for us now, back to struggling to keep awake and attempting to pay attention to whatever the teacher says. Whats worse is there is some weird weather going on now that's super warm and humid, which makes concentrating even harder! ONE DAY if I remember, I'm so gonna bring an electric fan to school, lots of ice coffee to keep me awake plus many many sweets! :)
On a lighter note, I changed my blogskin a few days ago. Prefer this to the previous one, but the font size 's abit small though. Can't be bothered to stare at lengthy html codes to change the font size... so meanwhile BEAR WITH THIS tyvm :)

Sch holiday (: Attempted to read chinese stuff @ Woodlands library with Crystal and Erica. Hahah, 30% success for me. Crys was reading traveling guides and peeping at some1's drawing haha then Erica watched Gossip Girls lolllll! Merlyn came then we went over to Crys house condo to slack and gym. Long bus ride home then watched dramas :)

Tuesday
Pepperlunch with family then KBox with Crystal, Wenting, Ailynn, Rebecca & Zioedy! :) I love KBox haha, super high and fun. However it was freezing cold and we couldn't increase the temperature. Spent a really great time singing/ shouting/ eating whatsoever with all of them haha :) Pix up when Ailynn passes me my thumbdrive!

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday was returning of end of years results. Yep, really really THANK GOD FOR MY RESULTS! :D I improved for quite a few subjects, especially my math and sciences! Yep, rlly glad that I trusted in God during the exam period and in return God blessed me so so much :)
Had cgg on wednesday, very good time of fellowship spent with the cg. Hahah, and video of Hanwen's Nobody forfeit is up on Facebook lolllll! :D

Today was church and even though it was an extremely busy + packed day, I still found joy in serving God and rlly thankful that I was finally able to SIT DOWN when I reached home!
On a random note, my sister got a rabbit today :/ I don't like pets, especially such a big furry creature!

Friday games carnival was horrible, total waste of time! Haha, I think I spent 3/4 of the time trying to find a comfortable position to sleep. Thank God wouldn't need to go for it anymore next year!! :)
Church yesterday followed by combined admin mtg. Yay, means camp is coming and I believe it's gonna be awesome! Haha, went to meet my mum and sister @ OG to buy some stuff before going home. Grandparents and cousins came over to play mahjong while I took a 4h nap :D Haha, I think I've been sleeping alot ever since the exams period. Prior to that I've been really sleep deprived. Serious, my sleeping hours everyday almost never exceeds 6h!
Played chess yesterday night for about 2h. Hehe I think chess is a wonderful thought-provoking & mind-stimulating game. Shall play more of it next time! (: Then watched 'Easy Fortune Happy Life' from 1am to 4am.
Ohyea, just remembered that there's no school on Monday and Tuesday. Great! On a heavier note, I think I've gotta start reading up on chinese since CL O's is approaching :/

I am convinced that as long as more than 2 people live on this planet earth, conflicts and disagreements would never cease to exist! Maybe it's in human nature to be quarrelsome or simply just trying to protect self interest, but I kinda find the amount of disagreements we often get into, is endless. It can range from a squabble between siblings over toys, to quarrelsome youths, to adults in the competitive world picking on each other. Small disagreements unresolved may even escalate into bigger problems, which may just worsen everything.
I believe God is the answer and His Church is the solution to all these conflicts and disagreements. It is where we learn to forgive, just like how Christ forgave. It is where we learn to accept others, just like how Christ accepted the flaws in us. It is where we learn to love people, just like how Christ first loved the imperfect us. It doesn't mean putting an end instantaneously to all conflicts and disagreements, but at least, it's a start (:

Went to Ailynn's house with Rebecca yesterday. Haha, watched abt 3 episodes of 'Easy Fortune Happy Life'. I've been waiting to watch it ever since the Sept holidays! Yep, later Rebecca & Ailynn used comp while I slept.
Ailynn & I went woodlands stadium to jog at around 7pm. Omg the track sucks! Lol it's filled with humps and holes everywhere. I think I tripped more than 5 times? Haha, but that didn't stop us from jogging cum walking 8 rounds (((: Walked to Causeway Point for dinner @ Yoshinoya then waited for Crystal Erica Merlyn Jolene. Supposed to play tennis @ Crystal's but courts were fully booked so went near Ailynn's house for basketball. Played only half an hour before someone came to lock the area. So camwhored instead till 10pm then dad came to fetch me! :) Yesterday was really relaxing compared to the examination period of intense mugging.

When I reached home, I learnt about something that was quite bothering... I feel quite burdened for her and it never came across to me what she had been doing. It came to me as quite a shock that at such a young age, they get into so much trouble. During quiet time, I prayed for her and really hope that she would change for the better.

Difficult PSLE Math paper

Haha, came across this article on the recent PSLE Math paper, which many parents claimed to be rather difficult! They mentioned 1 of the question, which I think is absolutely crazy!
"Jim bought some chocolates and gave half of it to Ken. Ken bought some sweets and gave half of it to Jim. Jim ate 12 sweets and Ken ate 18 chocolates. The ratio of Jim’s sweets to chocolates became 1:7 and the ratio of Ken’s sweets to chocolates became 1:4. How many sweets did Ken buy?"
Haha, I've always hated ratio questions and what sweets & chocs super confusing luh :O I spent like dunno how long on the question, re-reading and re-reading, drawing models, comparing ratios, basically just short of using the dumb trial & error method lol. Finally, I solved the question using simulateous equation and my trustworthy calculator! Fyi, we only learn simultaneous equations in like sec 1 or 2 leh. LOL in the eyes of those poor PSLE students, 'x' and 'y' aren't algebraic terms representing unknowns, they are just mere alphabets. Speaking if algebra, who on earth came up with that?!

That is a huge relief! (: I've been looking forward to this day for ages, but I seemed so unexcited and unaffected so far... ... Maybe it's because I found this week's papers rather difficult lol. AMath was quite hard and I already minus 20+ marks! Today's lit was even worse. I spent almost 1/4 of the time recovering from shock of the incomprehensible passage, leaving me with v little time to answer the question (Not like I had much to write anyw).
Hmm, but nevermind EOYs are over :)))) Went to Ion with Yexin to walk around after today's exam. Then met Kaiying and Baoer in town to eat and chat. Yep, today was fun and I'm so gonna replenish my sleeping insufficiency asap haha!

Yay, really thank God that I survived this week! This week is supposed to be the killer week with all the killer papers that kill brain cells with all that memorising. Haha, I have always believed that our brain space is limited and can only store information up to a certain level before it reaches its maximum capacity lol. So it's really a miracle that I managed to squeeze so many subjects into my brain hehe :) And like what I told Rebecca today, I feel rather knowledgeable after studying so much!! Ahhaha, yeah but I guess what matters most is the sense of accomplishment I feel and I 'll leave the exam results in the mighty hands of God!

Lol, I casually went to check my blog counter just now and I'm quite amazed by what I found out: THAT THERE ARE ACTUALLY HUMANS STILL READING MY BLOG HAHAH (and that includes YOU if you're reading this now)! I mean I thought I would just let my blog die and wallow in self-pity (haha). Besides I thought nobody reads my blog, especially since it's exams period, and I'm like just posting for myself?
In any case, exams have been fine so far. No, actually that is an understatement. The papers this week have been pretty tough, especially SS, English Paper 2 and Chinese Paper 2. In fact, that's almost everything but whatever you get my point. Haha, I have to admit that I've never been more awake and concentrated in class these few days, since every single second in an exam is priceless. I think time management is really important for me, and is an area I seriously need to work on because I'm forever lagging behind others... But the prayers I make before every exam is rather useful and it gives me some form of assurance (((:
Yep, anyw had lunch with Yexin and Jiaxian at NewYorkNewYork yesterday. Food was good and it was kinda relaxing after the energy-consuming, nerve-wrecking Mathematics paper. Had cgg after that and although it was quite short, it was real fun getting together to chat, laugh and encourage one another in the midst of exams :)

This week has been really fast plus tiring. But I feel rather accomplished because firstly, I managed to not sleep in classes at all. Secondly, I exercised 4 times this week and I ran about 2.4km each time :) Thirdly, I did smth which I thought I would procrastinate for v long before doing. Even though it's kinda not complete, but I promise I would by next week :)
Yep, church yesterday and for the 1st time in an extremely long time I was late for service cos I woke up late ): After that just felt rather out of place and lethargic, but rly thank God that sermon spoke to me and helped me to focus better (: Yea so many areas in my life that needs rebuilding. Just pray that prayer would be accompanied by actions!
Ate at Thomson Plaza today then dad fetched me to Bishan. Studied with Sharon Karchian Weiting Gladys & Yilin @ Cafe Cartel. Hehe it's a great place to study, especially since free flow of bread and water lol! Yep, studied till near 7pm then went Bishan stadium to joy 2.4km. Haha, did some breathing exercises taught by Sharon & Gladys which is rather strenous haha. Whoa really tired now, thank God that tomorrow is a holiday!! :D

Hahah, today I realised that my handwriting has been degrading over the years ever since primary 6! I remembered I used to love writing autograph books cos it was the graduation year. Instead of studying hard for PSLE, I would spent a whole day perfecting 4 to 6 pages of autograph, scrutinising every single detail so that mine would stand out. I used to derive a great sense of pleasure and self-satisfaction whenever I completed one. Ahhah, and I spent alot of money on shiny pens and markers that year. Sometimes, I look back and wish I had spent my time doing something more constructive. But I realise it's the little childish senseless things we do when we're young that makes up our childhood. It is a time of irrational and thoughtless behaviour, where consequences and pros & cons need not be considered. Hahah, sometimes I just wish I could go back to being a little young kid, when I would believe that the world is flat and nothing in the world can change my mind!
Anyway as EOYs approaches, it's gonna be a time of intense studying and mugging!!! Actually I've already started studying, but there always seems to be an endless list of revision to do ): God, help me be disciplined and study to my best!

NE shepherds retreat

I didn't feel like blogging because I thought I should spend the last 8-9 hours of holidays studying instead. Haha but I decided against that idea as blogging it down would help me remember and I can look back in future (((:
Retreat 10 to 11 Sep '09 @ NSRCC was greatttt! :) Had a wonderful & memorable time of fellowshipping with Northeast shepherds. We arrived @ the bungalow at around 3+pm...

checked out the placegathered for afternoon gamesproceeded to gamestug-of-war / handball / dodgeball taking a rest after gameshad dinner which consisted of catered foodand BBQHaha, we played ice breaker games over dinner and there were many many forfeits! Then had a sort of impromptu "NE talent time" where some uh talents entertained everyone through dancing and singing :D

Afterwards, had a refreshing time of praise & worship and teaching on righteousness. I feel really privileged to be serving with such an awesome bunch who love God so much. During worship, I was quite encouraged as I recalled God's unfailing love for every single individual, including me. Through it all, He 'll always be there for me (: I pray that I would continue serving with courage and obedience. I want to give my best to a God who is worthy and deserving!
Celebrated Gideon's belated birthday, where everyone pooled $$$ to get him an Ipod Touch (: I believe he was very touched haha. Shepherds appreciation: hand-designed Ikea pillow + affirmations!!

Studied @ Ritz apple strudel with Jolene and Merlyn yesterday (: I think Ritz is a great place to mug, even though I didn't study much ytd (the issue lies with me haha). The food is good, the place is relatively quiet, ambience is uh not bad, the people working there don't chase you away like how they do at fast food restaurants and most importantly, it's near my house haha :D But, there was a blackout twice. But it's okay since it was only for awhile and it's a technical fault, so in conclusion Ritz is still a great place to mug! :)

Today, went for Swensens ice cream buffet @ Ion with my mum and younger sisters today! :) Haha, the ice cream was real good and there were many varieties! Hahah, I ate 6 or 7 scoops of ice cream and I love the lime sherbet the most. At the end of the ice cream buffet, I was super full and the sight of ice cream make me want to faint. Hahah, I told myself I wouldn't eat ice cream for a week after this lol. Walked around at Ion > Far East Plaza after that and got a pair of sandals in a hurry. Dad came to fetch us to toa payoh :D Can you believe it, I spent close to $70 at stupid Popular on stationaries and reference books?! I was quite horrified to be spending my (parent's) money at POPULAR, haha super no life ok! Upload pix tmrw, nightzzz

I guess this 1 week holiday is gonna be packed with fun (sheps retreat) plus studying (EOYs appraoching). So far, my studying plans have been failing miserably ): Time just passes so slowly whenever I get down to books, but it flies whenever I sleep or watch dramas. I'm quite amazed by this whole psychology thing actually. And I came across smth I found quite funny while revising biology. Some scientist did an experiment by removing the hypothalamus of a rat (fyi 1 of the functions of the hypothalamus is to "tell" the body when a person is full). Hahah so the rat just continued eating and eating till it was bloated! Omg poor rat!
Lol anyw, I finished watching 不良笑花 today and I've been telling myself NO WAY AM I GONNA START ON A NEW DRAMA. Yea must apply yesterday's sermon of planning (: I've had enough of my procrastination and NATO (no action talk only).
While I'm on NATO, I realised that there are many things over the year that I said I wanted to accomplish. There were many changes that I wanted to bring about. There were many prayers that I made so earnestly, yet forgotten so easily. So many empty words that carried no determination and no practical actions taken. I just pray that from today onwards, my prayers/ planning/ decision-makings would be centred on God alone (:

Today is full of unpleasant stuff. First, we played softball for PE which is super boring and the gloves stink! Then had chemistry test on mole concept in the afternoon and it's horrid! I was super slooooowww. What's worse was I left the last question blank and it's full of parts (a), (b), (c) etc!!! Had to lug home my textbooks which I need to study during the September holidays, thank God my dad fetched me though. Lastly, Mr Teoh called my dad up because I didn't go for cca twice consecutively. Haha but I don't think my dad cares luh. My cca is a waste of time anyway.
Hehe, so to cheer myself up I decided not to study today and spent time watching 不良笑花, Singapore Idol that I recorded ytd night and use computer :D Ohyea, got back PPR today. Results were about the same as last term haha.

Had a sch holiday on tuesday and I think it was rather well spent :) Went to Macs for hotcakes meal breakfast with Kaiying around 9+am then studied till near 12. Haha I think it's so much more productive for me to study outside since I would always be tempted at home!

Heh, after that had cgg. Hahah I'm so amazed by how my cg can cook out such good edible food! Whereas up till now, I can't even fry an egg :O I wonder how I got my A1 for home econs last year lol. Celebrated Xiaoru's birthday too. Felt much refreshed and more joyful after cgg :-)

Haha, I shall still wish teachers happy teachers' day even though it has no significance to me at all (: Anyway today was exhausting and I'm so glad I went home early for a shower before proceeding to watch dramas. For the past few days I kinda keep remembering smth Pastor Hong Teck mentioned during sermon. Actually simple is joy. Would somebody be happier owning nothing and leading a carefree life, or somebody who has a million dollars but spends a life time guarding it out of fear that it would disappear? Actually when I questioned myself which one would I rather be, I know that despite knowing that the person who has a million dollars might not be happy, I most probably would still choose him. I guess that's just our human nature of greed. And for me, it shows how comfortable I'm getting in my sinful pathetic world, a one that doesn't exactly welcome changes.

Hahah, I've not really been using the comp much recently because I'm always too occupied with watching dramas. Started on 不良笑花 on friday and currently on episode 9. Super duper funny haha.
After church yesterday, NED2 celebrated Grace's birthday! (: Hahah I bet it was 1 of her most embarassing day, cause she had to do stuff like banana dance, wear bunny ears + a cardboard with "All hail birthday girl", hug 2 strangers etc. I remember telling someone that I wouldn't rly be embarassed to do most of them. Haha maybe cause I have thicker skin lol. Yea anyway, we headed to JustAcia for lunch and the b'day celebration (: I love JustAcia's soft ice cream!!

'You Are' was 1 of the songs we sang during service. It really reminded me that God should be my everything. You are the one I can turn to in my moments of weaknesses. I have decided after much deliberation that I'm not gonna go for CCA anymore for this term (which actually is ending) and nothing in the world is gonna stop me cause I have absolutely had enough of wasting my time @ CCA! Hahah, I have much better things to do like watch Singapore Idol that I recorded, finish watching 斗牛要不要, start on a new drama, sleep or study. Haha, studying seems the only decent thing I listed lol. But really need to start making notes for EOYs for the various subjects since it is like in almost a month and I guess I would be rather busy during the Sept holidays! :O
Had care group gathering today and really had a good time learning God's word (((: Having bio SPA tmrw, shall go do qt then go sleep nightzzZ!

Caught Orphan a couple of days ago with Crystal Merlyn & Loren. Hahah I think the movie was great and very thrilling. Before that, we ate pepperlunch and accompanied Merlyn to play some toy-catching machine. Omg she refused to give up even after more than 10 tries and even accidentally knocked her head against the machine! Haha I guess the person kinda helped her due to her perseverence + foolishness! So, Merlyn finally got her tiny toy after spending $13 (:

Slept in abit today before heading to Suntec @ 12. Had lunch @ KFC with the ushers, haha I suddenly like KFC alot lol. Then had to start preparing for combined service like make up, briefing etc. As Yongkang was talking, smth he said struck me which is "... ... You don't get paid yknow." It rly made me think that whatever I do in church, serving in ministry and shepherd etc, I don't get monetary rewards! In fact, I have less time to play or go shopping, I invest time & money and sometimes, I get disappointed. However, I guess the reason that I press on is because I believe in Christ and His salvation, and He was the one who 1st loved us! I believe that investment in the church, for God, is truly worth it (: I see the value in it and feel the sense of fulfilment & satisfaction from it. Of course, I would continue to love and serve God! (:
The combined service was great and really learnt alot from Pastor Jeff's sermon.

Had ting xie today, I guess it was quite okay since there were quite few chengyu and su lao shi was nice enough to test us the easier sentences (: Haha, so left with 2 tests: SS and elit :O SS sucks! Have to go find PM Lee 's National Day rally 2009 later, hopefully it would help for the test lol.
Had a late lunch at Pizza Hut with Rebecca Ailynn Crystal Wenting & Zioedy yesterday :-) Haha although some stupid things happened along the way, but it was still lotsa fun and I haven't exactly had a good meal in ages!
Ohyeah, I think Emily found this "letter" I wrote during care group last year, where I set my 2008 new year resolutions haha! It was kinda cool, cause usually for me, new year resolutions are made then forgotton -.- I set about 5 resolutions then and miraculously majority have been fulfilled! Yay. Maybe I should go dig out my 2009 resolutions someday lol.
I'm currently watching the Taiwan drama series 斗牛。要不要. The plot's quite typical and no excitement luh. But the ACTOR MIKE HE is super shuai hehehe! :D

There were long rites and rituals and alot of noise at the funeral, in preparation to send grandfather off to the cremation center. I was quite shocked that I didn't even shed a tear throughout the process. I was thinking about it as I saw some of my other relatives crying. I realised it wasn't heartlessness, but it was because I had this assurance that he is safe with God. I believe that God would watch over my family members (-:
Actually I think death isn't scary. What's scary is only if you don't know what would happen after you die. My future's secure in Jesus!
I hope that things would go back to normal soon. Get well soon mummy.

Funeral

Later's the cremation and it's all gonna be over. I have to say that I hate funerals, I think the extrvagance and rituals are really unnecessary. When I die, I just want a christian funeral. As in no monks, chanting whatsoever.

Omg I haven't touched the computer in 48 hours :O It's real torture for me since I use it almost everyday normally. Anyw have been rather busy the past few days, going with my family to SGH to visit my grandfather
and reaching home around 11pm. Even though I had nothing much to say to him, I was kinda glad to be able to see him (: Yeah, received an sms from my dad today conveying the message that he passed away peacefully this morning. My aunty told me that my grandfather received Christ a few days before and I'm really happy for him (:
Anyway, I admit I have been watching too much dramas nowadays. I need to study harder, faster & smarter! :-)

I was having lunch at McDonalds today when my sister called, saying that my grandfather's really ill and it might be his last day. Went home and dad fetched my family down to the hospital. Mum was alr @ the hospital. In the car, there was alot of things on my mind. Fortunately, all my grandparents are still alive. So I haven't really experienced any of my family members passing away. At the same time, there was this sense of dread in me, that I don't want changes. The thought of someone I know leaving forever is just so scary and alien. When I was in the car, it also struck me that when we come into this world we are naked, in the sense that we have/ own nothing. And we leave the world in the exact same way, there's nothing we can bring along when we die. I was reminded of Gideon's challenge on the 3rd night of UNSTOPPABLE camp. What we leave behind for others are memories, which may be good/ bad.
At the hospital, it was sad seeing my grandfather who had became so skinny. He used to come and visit with my grandmother once a week, but I was seldom at home. I'm not close to my grandfather. I didn't even know what to say to him when he was lying on that hospital bed, other than greeting him. I told myself that I wouldn't cry, but I just couldn't help feeling, sad. Just hope and pray that God would watch over him (-:
On the car ride back, I was still feeling rather upset and closed my eyes to rest. After awhile, I thought of happier things like Mike He in 恶魔在身边 and I really cheered up alot hahaha. Dropped by Ritz to get apple strudel then went home.
Hm on a happy note, 恶魔在身边 really rocks man. Fabulous show and hot/ chio lead actors Mike He/ Rainie Yang! :D Haha I finished 12 episodes in 2 days!

Happy 44th birthday Singapore! :D

Anyw today has been a pretty awesome sunday, spent lots of time with the television. Hahah, I think I'm starting to get infatuated with dramas/ television programmes/ movies. Watched cartoons, 1 episode of 篮球火, 4 episodes of 恶魔在身边 so far and now is only 5+pm. And since today is national day, I predict I will be watching the National Day Parade plus Singapore Idol. Hahah, at least I did some bio notes while watching tv. Gosh, just realised how close it is to end of years exams. It's like the second week after the September holidays! :-O

Really tired today since I slept rather late yesterday night. Watched 命中注定我愛你 and 200 Pounds Beauty!! Hahah, this is my 2nd time watching 命中, since it's a really awesome show and it's currently showing on channel U (weekdays, 10-11pm). Yep, yall should go watch it too! :-) Lol, so I was kinda in a dreamy mode today. But still enjoyed service a great deal, especially sermon which rly reminded me to do life with an extraordinary friend, Jesus (: Yup, & celebrated many people's birthdays today: Eline, Mingjang & Jolyn! Hehe, hope all of ya grow wiser and continue to love God love people :D
Anyway, I encountered smth interesting this morning during my bus ride to town. I missed the bus and had to wait for quite some time for the next one. When the bus came, it was almost full but I still managed to get a seat. I noticed a English-speaking lady with white hair. She caught my attention cos she was occupying 2 seats (1 to put her bag) and was reading out the bible. Soon, an Indian woman boarded the bus. She also caught my attention cos uh she was very fat and sweating alot. After awhile, 2 old men made a comment on smth about the white-haired-lady being selfish and occupying 2 seats. She was rather agressive and very ready to defend herself, insisting that she didn't see someone had no seat. Soon, the conflict escalated to a heated argument. The old men kept on scolding the lady was selfish and it wasn't the 1st time alr blahblah whereas the lady was shouting that she didn't see and threatened to sue them cos 1 of them scolded her in hokkien which she didn't understand. The people in the bus either looked on or faster alighted, except for the Indian woman. What she did changed my perspective of her and helped me to look @ her in a different light. She went up to calm both parties down, explain to them how their quarrel was affecting the bus driver & passengers and mediate between both of them. She took quite long before managing to calm both parties down and resolve the issue. After that, I took some time to reflect. I'm quite amazed by the Indian woman. Being of a different race, she probably didn't understand 1/4 of the quarrel. Yet, even though nobody tried to help, she took the 1st step, risking getting scolded as well (angry pple are unreasonable pple lol). Yea, rly admire her courage & iniative (-: Another thing that struck me was the actions of the lady. I think as christians, we should try our best to protect God's image and be mindful of our speech/ actions (she was reading the bible). Lastly, I'm amazed @ how quarrelsome people can be! I really wonder how you can scold or pick a fight with strangers, pple you hardly know. I mean, I think it's rather weird/ awkward to scold/ quarrel with pple I don't know well.

National day celebration

Haha I realised I have an slight issue waking up when my alarm rings. I need shining glaring light and the voice of somebody calling me to wake me up! Lol that was just a random thought (:
Had national day celebration in sch today and I had PA duty. Haha I woke from bed in total shock at the VOICE of my maid, cos I was supposed to reach sch by 6.45am but it was alrdy 6:37am!!! So I rushed at top speed, nevertheless still horribly late :/

Although I was on duty and that sucks, it was quite fun and heartwarming seeing the whole sch celebrating Singapore's 44th birthday (: Especially when everyone sings and sways (?) together! It's kinda sad, no 'sad' is underrated, it's depressing that we are moving to the holding site @ Toa Payoh next year! I think it's gonna be in a horrid condition and it's quite far from home. Next year would mark the 10th and final year in stnicks! :-O

Haha this is random, I think I slept super alot today. 2 hours in class and took a 2 or 3 hour nap the moment I reached home :-) So, the result it my geog graded assignment is still not done! Haha sighhhh. But in any case, sleeping is real good. Really refreshes and recharges me, but it 's a super waste of time if you sleep until cannot wake up (like me sometimes)! Lol, kay bye all (:

Strong emotions such as elation or sorrow, lead to crying. When I was younger, I loved to cry in public, or rather in front of others. I guess it was just that immature and attention-seeking part of me. Now, I hate to cry in front of people. I hate to show others the vulnerable side of me. For me, the best place to cry is in the bathroom, when I'm bathing. Because that's when there 's solitude, a temporary isolation, and most importantly I can't differentiate between tears and water!

Stories of shark attacks

Hahah, I know yall must be thinking why am I suddenly posting about sharks lol. This is sparked by Mr Searle 's english compre passage about shark attack survivors weeks ago. I think sharks are really fascinating creatures. So big, so fat, so dangerous.
I'm so amazed by the variety of God's creations! Lol, I have to admit that watching Youtube videos on shark attacks made me rather scared. I especially dislike the part where the shark attacks victim and blood gushes out and diffuses so rapidly! Omg looking at the shark's strength, size, speeds at which it charges @ victim and shark's sharp teeth, I can't bear to think/ imagine the intense, torturing pain of the victims man! Sigh, but mankind does have to admit that when they enter the waters, it's like venturing into the unknown and thus possibly putting themselves in a precarious state. Oh man, I pray that sharks species would have sufficient food, be satisfied and don't eat human beings haha! :-)
PS: The teeth of sharks are constantly replaced throughout its life. Some sharks can lose 30000 teeth in their lifetime! :O

WALAU PAIN!!

I almost fainted when I realised my stupidity today!
My itchy hands took out my left ear ear stick. I was apparently trying to test if I would get infection when I put it back, cos the previous time I did so my earhole bled like crazy. The results of my stupid actions caused me to spend the next two hours trying to put the ear stick back. During that 2 hours, my ear bled/ pus/ swollen/ turned pinkish, and on top of that I had to endure great pain and torture. Hahah, when I finally got the ear stick through, guess what amazing/ shocking news Crystal told me? SHE TOLD ME THAT MY LEFT EAR GOT 2 HOLES. So apparently for the past 2 hours, I was pushing futilely at the wrong spot. And wow, my perseverance "paid off" and now I kinda have another ear hole? It's like my left ear hole is one-way in and two-way out -.-
Ah omg I can't believed how dumb I was to keep pushing at the wrong spot with that blunt ear stick and pierced a hole myself. Super pain luh. LOL, I still remember this conversation between Erica & I:
Me: Ah very pain leh. Still can't go in!!!
Erica: You must push hard, just pain for awhile then over alr.
Me: I know, I'm pushing very hard alr.
Erica: Must push harder!
Hahah gosh, I don't know if I should laugh or cry @ my stupidity lor! (:
