OMGOMGOMG I THINK SLEEPING EARLIER REALLY HELPS YOU TO CONCENTRATE AND PAY MORE ATTENTION IN CLASS! :D
Hehe, maybe I shall aim to sleep by 11pm every night, so that I wouldn't sleep in class so much. Actually it's not that much, compared to last year. Thinking back: sec 1, I was naughty, always cheating and never studying for tests > sec 2, I was still insecure at 1 period of time, playful and always sleeping in class > sec 3, I don't know what I'm... ...
Sigh, anyway today was involved, or rather forced to be involved, in 2 very boring and meaningless activities haha. Namely student forum and sport carnival house meeting. Fyi, I'm in blue house.
Thank God there's public holiday tomorrow and also, there wouldn't be any tests next week! :D

NED captains ball day!,
Saturday, April 25, 2009 @ 9:53 PM

Gosh, this week has really been a physically exhausting week! Visited the gym twice in the week, 2.4km run plus NE sports yesterday (2 hours + of badminton) and today was tiring too.
Church in the morning. Omg it was super embarassing while I was on the bus lol. I wonder how I lived through it! The weather was super hot and I was sweating crazy when I boarded the bus. The bus was very crowded and I was carrying a huge red pail (those kind my maid uses to wash clothes) and I threw in some stuff like balloons/ pumper/ book etc so my bagpack wouldn't be so heavy. People near me saw a weirdo carrying a huge red pail and some stared at me and tried to see what's inside the pail (probably expecting fishes -.-). Haha I bet they think I wasn't looking, but fyi I AM. Worst of all, the bus driver is lousy. The bus keeps stopping abrubtly and I almost lost my balance a few times. So embarassing ah! But thank God, I got a seat after awhile and even bumped into my uncle and chatted with him :)
Anyway, church was great and I think the sermon was good (: After tt, rushed to SMU to prepare and the rest came at 3+ and we had our NED captains ball day! Yay, it was a great time of fellowship and fun. Captains ball > water bomb games. Ahha, it was kinda dumb while we were filling the plastic bags with water for the water bombs because I bet strangers thought we were some cheapos stealing water! LOL, we filled a total of 160 okay. Then pictures and dinner @ food court near SMU :D

Sometimes, it's really disappointing to get lousy results in return for the hard work you 've put in for something. But if you let it discourage you, or even give up totally, then you would really have failed. Looking at it in a different perspective, give thanks for the experience and be more motivated to work harder. Prove to those who look down on you, that you can do it (:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God 's will for you in Christ Jesus.

School was kind of boring, and half the time I was dozing off :/
After school, cab down to United Square with Rebecca Crystal & Wenting (: Hahah, supposed to be a big clique outing, but dunno why end up with 4 of us. Nevertheless, still had a great and retarded time hahaha :D
Ate Pizza Hut for lunch, and embarassed ourselves alot omg hehe.

i love baked rice:

Then, we proceeded to Ben & Jerry to ice cream as they were having free cone today! :) Yay it rocks! Haha, and was rather shocked cause I saw quite alot of pple there, and even some primary sch friends :O Oh, and the queue @ United Square was super long luh.

racism?,

Looked at this year's top 51 contestants for Miss USA online just now. Hahah, most of them are quite pretty. But I would rather the blondes win. Maybe I'm biased, racist or whatever, but I think they are really more beautiful.
Anyway talking about this, I think I should change my perspective of Indians, which I always refer to as 'bangala'. Hahah okay I know that's rlly rude. There was once I was in the bus and it was very crowded. And 2 of them had seats, but they actually gave it up to an old couple. Haha, that was something I didn't expect, cause maybe giving up seats wasn't something included in my biased view of them. Ironically, even though I don't even have much interactions with 'bangalas', I once had a nightmare about them :/ Oh, and did I mention before that both my neighbours were Indians? I used to complain it's like an OREO. Omg I think I even blogged about it before and posted a picture of an oreo!? That was really childish and racist luh.

We're all God's creation (:
Happy birthday Xinhui!,

Church todayyyy (: Loved P&W! Sermon was on 'The Cross of power'.
Yeah, Jesus' death and resurrection on the cross truly gives us the power to live a life without intimidation, limitation and separation! I like the part where Pastor Jeff shared about how we can deal with criticisms.
If criticisms are true - listen, learn and change. If criticisms are untrue - listen and move on.
"If you aren't criticised, you may not be doing much." -Donald H. Rumsfield
We are all living in an inperfect world, with imperfect people like you and I. So no matter how much we do or try to do, it's inevitable that others would still judge or criticise us. (Haha, sometimes it's not even your fault, just that certain pple can't live w/o gossiping) I think criticisms can be either beneficial or irritating! If people criticise you with good intentions, to help u change and grow, then take time to listen and apply instead of turning a deaf ear to he/ her. However, if they are just maligning or gossiping about you, just listen and move on! You can't stop their mouth from moving and critising you. If what they say about u is untrue, instead of spending hours harping on it or crying or feeling upset, why not just move on and do something more constructive/ beneficial? :) Words can either build you up or tear you down, they can be so fast yet so powerful! And as the chinese saying goes, fan4 ke2 yi3 luan4 chi1, dan4 hua4 bu4 ke2 yi3 luan4 jiang3!
I pray that I 'll be able to discern between the true and untrue criticisms, to be able to learn & change or just move on. Also, that I 'll be sensitive in my words. Amen!

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written, "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XINHUI! :)

Had geogaphy elective common test yesterday. Hmm, it was quite okay except missing out of certain points here & there. Anyw, went Macs area for lunch with Crystal Merlyn Erica (: Haha, and while we were walking back to sch, E. started her usual lame stuffs like pushing me etc! Then since C, M & I (omg cmi?) were eating ice cream, we were like "Lets all attack Erica!" And clever me suddenly thought of powerpuff girls + mojo jojo! (C - Bubbles/ M - Blossom/ Me - Buttercup/ E - Mojo jojo) Lollllll and obviously the "choir", consisting of Erica & Crystal started singing the 'PPG save the world song', with new recruits M & I hahah. Hmm, cca was quite unpleasant. Unpleasant things aren't worth blogging or sharing, so I shall just keep it myself & I :D

Had Math test and english test today (yeah i know what you 're thinking, no. of tests in stnicks is insane)! Math was relatively easy while english was quite difficult... Ran 5 rounds around the track (1.2km) during PE to train for NAPFA. Gosh, it's veryveryvery tiring and hot! I want I wish I hope NAPFA was never invented! :/ Then the teacher told us to do some jumps to train again and rebecca turned into a frog after all the jumps :)
Care group after school and it was great fun (: Then cab to Swee En's house with her, bernice & meiqi to do chinese project. Yvette joined us later and we decided that we should video our thoughts about this project. I started first and I admit I'm a loser hahaha. I "NG-ed" quite a few times and I couldn't articulate my words properly and there were lots of "uhm"s, "er"s and pauses lol.
Ahhaha, then left earlier near 5+ or 6pm to go serangoon for Northeast sports day (: Yep, some were playing basketball/ soccer/ captains' ball/ badminton. My favourite 's badminton and that was almost the only thing I played haha!

Thank God it's Friday. Really had an extremely busy and hectic week! Also, thank God I didn't sleep in class today + yesterday. Cause I was half expecting myself to be dozing off since I mugged till quite late for the tests. Yay (: And tomorrow I shall go to church and refresh myselfffff!

Sleep problems at this age usually involve having a late sleep phase. Teenagers will commonly stay up late on the weekends and then sleep in the next day, sometimes until noon. This carries over into the school week and can cause difficulty falling asleep at a proper time on school nights.
It is now well known that being sleep deprived can lead to behavioral and attentional problems in school, so it is important that your teen gets enough sleep.

In the latest study of teenage sleep, published in this month's Pediatrics, researchers from Northwestern University teamed up with high school teachers to track sleep patterns of advanced-placement biology students. After the school year began, students slept two hours less per weeknight. The students accumulated ''sleep debt," and required extra sleep on weekends. During the school year, the students also performed worse on tests of alertness in the early morning. This shouldn't be surprising, since a 2001 study showed that college students sleeping more than nine hours nightly have higher grade-point averages than those sleeping less than six hours (3.2 GPA vs. 2.7). Sleep-deprived students often have ''microsleeps" during class, disrupting task performance. Of the major human drives -- food, sex, and sleep -- the latter is most neglected by doctors during teenage checkups.
- derived from some website I forgot

Hahah, omg I should totally sleep earlier every night. Plus su lao shi says sleeping less than 6 hours a day shortens your lifespan :O
Ritz with Moh,
@ 10:56 PM

Tuesday:

lunch together before chemistry extra lessons (ailynn calls it the big clique haha)

Wednesday:
After school, Crystal came over to my house. Then we went to Ritz for apple strudel. Gosh, I love their mango/ strawberry strudel! I shall get peach next time :B
Hahah, yep then attempted to study geography for the next day's test but faillllled. So we cab home early and avoided the peak hour period (:
At home, I mugged like crazy - FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. Then went off to bed in a blur, sleepy & tired state.

yay!,
Monday, April 13, 2009 @ 10:58 PM

Hahah, omg I slept for 2 hours straight during the first 2 lessons (CME + hcl) in the morning :O This is my sleeping record for 2009 so far I think. Last year I was worse, I think I can sleep all the way from morning till recess?
Anyway, I was still quite productive today. Attempted to complete AMath homework, but I seriously have no idea at all how to do a single question. This chapter on proving similarity & congruence is seriously super difficult luh! And Mrs Seah constant rushing and nagging that we 're racing against time isn't helping at all :/
Also, I managed to complete my notes for geography elective 's common test on thursday. Yay thank God :)
Last week, tsw told the class that the entire topic 2 Natural Vegetation is tested = 3 chapters = 70+ pages. The whole class was like gasping in horrer and she continued, that if the 70 pages minus away diagrams/ pictures, actually only about 30 pages. None of us, or maybe only me, didn't believe her. But it's true leh omg. I dunno what rush of lameness went through me and I started counting the notes I made, how many pages are there altogether :) And miraculously, it was spot on - 30 pages ahhaha.
Sadly tragicly unfortunately, I think I'm going deaf. Yupp anyway, lots of tests to study for this week :O I must persevere with a positive spirit hahaha, God bless me (:
Happy Easter !,
Sunday, April 12, 2009 @ 9:45 PM

SATURDAY:Yesterday was Sentosa for Northeast family day (: One of the craziest day I spent in ages - pushing/ throwing pple into the sea, getting pushed into the sea, attempting to swim across Palawan beach (FAILED), playing games, getting buried in the sand, running in the rain like crazy people, water bombs etc.
And finally, busing home wet, dirty, sandy and sunburnt (: Even though it poured heavily halfway, still wanna thank God for the great time of fellowship and fun.

TODAY:
HAPPY EASTER :) Church today was at suntec. Was late for ushering duty, so faster got makeup etc done before service started. It was really cool and it was v touching at the part where the couple went on stage to share their testimony on how they reconciled! Forgiveness is a choice, and God chose to forgive US for our sins and died for US on the cross (: Thankyou for the cross Lord!

Easter is about Jesus and Jesus is alive! 3 days after He died on the cross, He resurrected and now lives in the heart of every christian (:
